Colney Heath 2 v 2 Wares Att:73

With Paul Marks in goal and a new face at centre back the run of good form continued. The first half was edged by Colney albeit that chances went both ways and no one team really got hold of the game. The Wares scored early and always looked dangerous on the attack. After 15 or so minutes Colney equalised when a simple, hopeful chip over the middle of the defence failed to be dealt with. Just before the break Adam Ali came on for the injured NIv Bogaire to see out a game that had swung in Colney’s favour and leading 2-1.

The second half was much more exciting for the Wares fans with several opportunities for both sides but on balance more for the away side. Just after the break the Wares took command early on and dominated for the large part. eventually the goal came with a Stuart Blackburn free kick just outside the box straight into the top right hand corner of the keeper. From them on it was all about the Wares trying to take all 3 points. Just before then end the Wares were awarded a penalty only to be denied by the keeper. Should have had all 3 points but a draw was fair enough.
