Poor first half performance from the Wares gifting all three goals but having one disallowed for an apparent push. Much improved second half, had the whole game been played as in the last 20 minutes something could have been taken from the match.

It only took 3 minutes for the Wares to concede 1-0. The Wares fight to get into the game and Mikkel James picks up an unfortunate caution in the 25th minute. The second from Harpenden was conceded from a corner in the 27th 2-0 and the third was conceded in the 34th 3-0.

HT: 3-0

3 Changes at half time as the formation wasn’t working. Theo Ofori, Michael Koscien and Fergus Moore off for Felix Amoah, Ryan Carruthers and Steven Benavides. The formation changed from a 3 at the back to 4 and a much better start although Harpenden did score a lucky but well taken goal as the ball was cut back ricocheted of a defender into the path of the striker who took a wild swipe at the ball and connected well to hit the back of the net 4-0. It wasn’t looking good for the Wares at this point but the greens kept battling. ON 63rd Ryan Carruthers picks up a yellow the the game even in the second half was hotly contested. The game end to end but in the 69th Harpenden take a shot and comes off George McCluskey’s shin to go in 5-0. No sign of giving up as in the last 15 of the game it was really all Edgware and in the 77th Steven Benavides strike a beautiful shot to make it 5-1 and Eisa Azab hit another home in the 87th 5-2. The Waes could have had another in the latter stages. It wasn’t to be and 2-2 in the second half was a fair result. Shame about the first half.

FT: 3-0
